The agreement
Puppy Purchase Contract
Read it in full, then sign it here. Nothing in it is held back until collection day, and if a clause does not sit right with you, ring (742) 306-3184 before you sign rather than after.
This is the agreement between Notorious X Kennels and you. It covers what we guarantee, the fourteen day health guarantee and the vet visit it depends on, what you take on, and what happens if the placement ever fails. You sign it electronically below and we are emailed a copy with your signature attached.
Before you sign
Three things worth knowing, because they are the ones people ask about after the fact rather than before.
The health guarantee runs fourteen days and depends on you. You have to get the puppy in front of your own vet inside that window. Book the appointment before the puppy arrives.
Delivery is priced separately. It is $150 to an airport or $180 to your home. It is not inside the purchase price. How delivery works.
If it ever goes wrong, the dog comes back to us. At any age, for any reason. That is a term of this contract rather than a nice sentence on a website.
The puppy is ICCF registered. Registration paperwork goes home with it, along with the microchip number and the health record.
If you have not read them yet: how the whole process runs, what the breed is actually like to live with, and what one costs to keep.
The terms
What we guarantee
- Health at the time of sale. The puppy is in sound health when it leaves us, is eating well, and has no condition known to us that has not been disclosed to you in writing.
- Vaccinations and worming. 6 to 8 weeks: first dose of DHPP, covering distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus and parainfluenza. 10 to 12 weeks: second DHPP booster, plus optional lifestyle shots such as Bordetella or leptospirosis. Wormed on schedule from two weeks old. A written health record with every date on it goes home with the puppy.
- Registration. Our dogs are registered with the ICCF, the International Cane Corso Federation, and ICCF registration paperwork goes home with the puppy. The ICCF is the International Cane Corso Federation, the parent club registry for the breed in the United States.
- Microchip. Every puppy is microchipped before it leaves us. The chip number is recorded on your paperwork and it is your responsibility to register it in your own name once the puppy is home.
- Honest description. The photographs on the website are of the actual puppy. Its sex, age, colour and ear status are stated correctly, and we will tell you what we have seen of its behaviour in the litter, including anything that does not help the sale.
The fourteen day health guarantee
- The period. This guarantee runs for fourteen days from the day the puppy is collected or delivered to you.
- The condition. You must have the puppy examined by your own licensed veterinarian within those fourteen days. This is not optional. If no examination takes place inside the period, the guarantee does not apply.
- What it covers. If your veterinarian identifies, inside that period, a health condition that was present at the time of sale, contact us immediately and in writing, with the veterinary findings. We will agree a remedy with you directly.
- What it does not cover. Conditions arising after the sale, injury, parasites or illness contracted after the puppy leaves us, and any condition made worse by a delay in seeking veterinary attention.
- Book it early. The clock starts on the day you take the dog and not on the day you get round to the appointment, so make it before the puppy arrives rather than after.
Your responsibilities as the buyer
- Care. You agree to keep the dog humanely: adequate food, fresh water, shelter, exercise, company and veterinary attention for the whole of its life.
- Supervision and containment. This is a large guardian breed. You agree to supervise the dog outdoors, to keep it securely contained on your property, and to control it in public.
- Ongoing veterinary care. You agree to keep vaccinations and parasite prevention current, on the advice of your own veterinarian.
- Payment. You are responsible for the agreed purchase price and for the delivery cost, which is $150 to an airport or $180 to your home and is not included in the price of the puppy.
- Insurance and permissions. You confirm that you are permitted to keep a dog of this size and breed where you live, and that you have checked your lease, HOA rules and homeowner insurance where those apply.
If the placement does not work
- The dog comes back to us. We accept our own dogs back at any age, for any reason. This is not a courtesy: it is a term of this contract.
- Tell us first. If you can no longer keep the dog you agree to notify us before taking any other step, and to give us the first option to take it back or to place it ourselves.
- No dealers or laboratories. The dog must never be sold, leased, traded, surrendered or given to any pet shop, dealer, research facility, or similar establishment.
- Transfer to a third party. We reserve the right to approve or refuse any transfer of the dog to a new owner.
Limits of our liability
- After the sale. Once the puppy is in your care, we are not responsible for damage, loss or injury caused by the dog. A Cane Corso reaches around a hundred pounds and its behaviour as an adult is shaped by the home it grows up in.
- No guarantee of adult outcome. We do not guarantee an adult weight, height, colour, ear carriage, temperament, working ability or suitability for breeding or showing. Anyone who guarantees those things is guessing.
- Contact after sale. You agree that we may contact you from time to time to check that the dog is well. We would rather stay in touch than not.

Questions before you sign?
Ring or write and we will go through any clause you are unsure about. We would far rather answer ten questions now than have this signed by somebody who did not read it.
